There are plenty of technical problems to solve. My mind swirls at times with all the issues and all the possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I find myself asking if this piece is really worth it. Worth what? Is any piece worth it? Is the essential idea, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"the concept (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rpwoodwork.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/13\/creating-a-work-in-wood-from-idea-to-finished-piece-3-concept\/\" target=\"_blank\">the concept<\/a>, growing? Is it bringing forth the <strong>energy<\/strong> that the project will require?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of this is part of <strong>the joy of creating<\/strong>. I love it, but it can get out of hand in many ways. <strong>Tension<\/strong> comes about, some of which is good in that it generates energy. But some can be damaging, and that will ultimately reflect in my mentality when building the piece and in the finished product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And there is Krenov, again, with the advice I need. In his book\u00a0<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"With Wakened Hands (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Wakened-Hands-James-Krenov\/dp\/1892836068\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1549140169&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=with+wakened+hands\" target=\"_blank\">With Wakened Hands<\/a><\/em>, he counsels, <strong>&#8220;Worry less, concentrate more, and above all relax.&#8221;<\/strong> Krenov&#8217;s work elicits in me an energetic but peaceful response \u2013 the &#8220;quiet joy&#8221; \u2013 and so does his advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now back to work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now, as I work on a new design, there are matters of wood, style, proportion, and details.
