I offer clients one-of-a-kind furniture with a personal touch, built on commission. I welcome your input in the design stages, often including the choice of specific boards of figured wood, so that the final product is as fulfilling for you to own as it is for me to build.
My studio is in Medfield, Massachusetts in the greater Boston area. I have been working woodfor more than 25 years. My work has been featured in numerous national and regional publications. It has been juried into some of the most prestigious artisan shows in the US. I also regularly write in the field of fine woodworking where my technical expertise is shared in several trade publications and online.
The extreme care that I use in wood selection, hand-cut joinery, time-honored construction principles, and attention to detail is missing from factory-made woodwork and cannot be bought in a store. I strive to bring together compelling woods, judicious proportions, and thoughtful details to create a quietly satisfying, harmonious whole with a subtle grace and unexpected curves.
